Sear the Fish: Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the halibut (or desired fish fillets) presentation-side down and sear for 2–3 minutes until a golden crust forms. Flip and sear the other side for 1 minute
Bake in the Oven: Transfer the seared fish to a preheated 450°F oven. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Glaze the Fish: Remove the fish from the oven and brush a generous layer of soy-garlic glaze over the top of each fillet.
Caramelize the Glaze: Switch your oven to broil (or increase heat to 450°F). Return the glazed fish to the oven and broil for 1–2 minutes, just until the glaze begins to bubble and caramelize. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped fresh cilantro. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
