Soy-Glaze Marinade

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Garlic cloves Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger Peeled and minced
  • 4 Scallions Sliced
  • 3 tablespoon Sugar
  • ½ Cup Soy sauce
  • ¼ Cup Rice vinegar Sweet, Mirin
  • 1 Lemon Juiced
  • 2 teaspoon Seasame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Chili flakes Optional

Make a slurry and transform this marinade into a beautiful sauce.

  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Equal parts, Adjust accordantly
  • 1 tablespoon Water Equal parts, Adjust accordantly

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, garlic, ginger, scallions, sesame oil, and chili flakes. Until sugar is dissolved.
  • Stored in an airtight container or glass jar. Up to 1 week

FOR SAUCE

  • In a small bowl, whisk 1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp cold water until smooth
  • Pour your marinade into a saucepan and heat it over medium heat until it begins to bubble.
  • Slowly stir the slurry into the hot marinade while whisking continuously.
  • Cook 1–2 minutes until thickened to your desired consistency.It should coat the back of a spoon like a glaze.
