Sesame sauce
Easy homemade sesame sauce recipe made with soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Perfect for noodles, stir-fry, chicken, and vegetables.

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup Canola oil Or any other neutral oil
  • ¼ cup Garlic minced
  • ¼ cup Ginger peeled and minced
  • 2 cups Soy sauce less sodium
  • 1 cup Shaoxing wine use dry sherry wine as as substitute
  • 1 cup White wine
  • cups sugar
  • ½ cup Sesame oil
  • cups water
  • 8 tablespoons Cornstarch

Method
 

  1. Start by cooking your garlic and ginger over low heat in a saucepan bigger than 2 quarts. (3 to 5 minutes)
  2. Remove from heat and add Soy sauce, Shaoxing wine (or sherry), white wine, sugar, Sesame oil, water and cornstarch.
  3. Mix well, then return to heat and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  4. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Let it cool, Store in a airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
